Dr Barbara Prestano, AuD, C/ABA, CCC-A

Director of Audiology

A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Mesa, AZ, 2003

Dr.  Prestano is a Pennsylvania licensed Audiologist and Hearing Instrument Specialist, certified by the American Board of Audiology (ABA) and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.  She is originally from New York, where she was a college professor, as well as Director of Audiology for a large ENT Practice for many years.

Barbara has been helping the hearing impaired for more than 25 years.  She received her B.S. degree in Speech Pathology from Hofstra University, NY in 1986, her M.S. degree in Audiology from Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 1991, and her clinical doctorate in Audiology, the Au.D. from  A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ in 2003.

She has been an educator and public speaker for many years, providing training and seminars in hearing and hearing loss.  She is an advocate for the hearing impaired, focusing on educating people about hearing loss and the impact that is has on quality of life.

Dr. Michael McCandless, AuD, CCC-A

Dr. McCandless has been trained to diagnose and treat hearing loss, tinnitus, and peripheral vestibular impairments including BPPV. He attended St Joseph's Prep and was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Joseph's University. He performed his Doctoral work at Salus University (formerly The Pennsylvania College of Optometry School of Audiology). Dr. McCandless completed his clinical fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC and practiced in Tampa, FL for five years prior to joining Associates in Audiology. Dr. McCandless is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, the Vestibular Disorders Association of America, and is clinically certified in Audiology by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. With a passion for helping others to "hear the world they see," he has seen thousands of patients from all over Chester and Montgomery county.
